The Chronicle Begins

On the storm-worn island of Frostholm, in the harbor city of Eldhaven, fifteen-year-old Jesse Hawekins dreams of a life beyond the inn his mother is struggling to keep afloat. His father, Aren Hawkins, the hero who once united nations against a common enemy, vanished into legend, leaving behind stories brighter than the truth and a son who never asked to inherit his legacy.

When unrest boils in the streets and whispers of the criminal order known as the Crows begin to emerge, Jesse’s quiet life fractures. What begins as a boy’s longing for adventure twists into something far darker as he is pulled into a web of old loyalties, buried betrayals, and a legacy of the flames that once reshaped the world.

The Seventh Flame is a coming-of-age fantasy about heroes who burn, sons who rise from ash, and the courage to stand when the world expects you to fall.

Characters of Frostholm

Faces you’ll meet in the harbor city of Eldhaven and beyond.

Jesse Hawkins

Fifteen-year-old son of an innkeeper in Eldhaven. Restless and sharp-eyed, Jesse is drawn to a life beyond the harbor’s edge, chasing tales of old heroes, unaware for how deeply that journey will change him.

Aren Hawkins

The hero who united fractured kingdoms and stood against the Empire of Old when the world was breaking. His name still carries the weight of salvation, yet he vanished when peace was won, leaving behind a legend, a family, and questions no one dares answer.

Hannah Hawkins

Keeper of The Mellow Eagle and the steady heart of its hearth. With flour-dusted hands and an unyielding calm, Hannah holds together what the storms of Frostholm would gladly take, offering warmth, shelter, and a quiet kind of courage no matter how cold the world grows.

John Crowley

Leader of the Crows and a name spoken carefully in Eldhaven. John rules the city’s underbelly with quiet precision, enforcing his own order where law and mercy have long since failed.

Beckett

A familiar face in Eldhaven’s streets and a constant presence at Jesse’s side. Quick with a grin and quicker to follow trouble, Beckett turns restless days into shared adventures, but remains unaware how quickly games can become more serious.

Corra Blackwind

A trusted operative within the Crows, Corra moves through Eldhaven with measured confidence and an eye for leverage. Information follows her as faithfully as shadow, and few mistake her courtesy for kindness.

Odrin the Wise

A familiar figure in Eldhaven’s taverns, known for his stories, his silence, and the way his eyes linger a moment too long. Odrin listens more than he speaks, as if waiting to see what the world will become next.

‘The Ox’

A towering presence at John Crowley’s side, known more by consequence than name. The Ox speaks rarely, moves deliberately, and settles disputes with finality, a reminder that some orders are enforced, not debated.

Ganelion Thornheart

Once a warrior of great renown, Ganelion now walks a quieter path. Weathered by battles and choices alike, he stands watch not as a legend, but as a guardian — proving that strength need not abandon mercy to endure.

Ancient Chronicles

Fragments of history, legend, and prophecy as told in the taverns of Eldhaven and whispered in forbidden halls. These are only hints of the truths buried beneath Frostholm’s ice.

The Legend of the Seven Flames

Long before kings or maps, there were stories of giants who walked the world when it was still unfinished. They were said to be older than stone, slower than time, and impossible to kill, only quieted. Most treat the tales as children’s warnings now, told to keep young ones close to the fire when the night grows too still.

The Harsh Winters

Frostholm is an island of seasons. Gentle in summer, merciless in winter. Its people are shaped not by legend, but by endurance: storms that claim the careless, seas that forgive no error. Those who remain learn quickly, sail well, and survive without expecting the world to soften for them.

The Empire of Old

The Empire is remembered differently depending on who tells the story. To some it was order, to others oppression. Its fall is celebrated, yet its shape lingers, in laws, in borders, and in the quiet fear that power never truly disappears.
